Estonian startups featured at Swiss Innovation Forum

Votemo was invited to speak at the Swiss Innovation Forum together with other 9 Estonian creative industry startups and Startup Estonia. Every year, more than 1,100 decision-makers and industry leaders from the world of academia, research, education and politics are gathered at the Congress Center Basel in Switzerland to get their “annual dose of inspiration” and hear about the latest developments and innovation in creativity, design and technology.

Votemo had a chance to share a vision of the future of Television - and speak about how to make media more democratic with the technology that would give the audience various options to express an opinion in real time and TV channels new ways to monetize their content.

Each year there is a city or a country in focus at SIF and the audience is invited to learn from the overseas guests, ask questions and get inspired. This year it was time for Estonia. Estonian Startups were invited to share experiences and give insights on their companies, but also speak about the startup ecosystem in Estonia. During the pitching session, each company had an opportunity to introduce its business and speak about personal challenges in starting up and raising funds in Estonia. The whole session, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A hosted by Startup Estonia, turned out extremely popular among the audience.

Votemo was represented by Tõnis Vassar, Co-Founder & CPO of Votemo. Feel free to reach out at hello@votemo.eu in case of any questions regarding Votemo or ideas for collaboration.

The Swiss Innovation Forum is the Swiss leading conference for creativity, design and innovation and pools the knowledge of the world‘s leading institutions in the fields of research and development as well as innovation. The SIF bridges the gap between science and industry. Best cases and case studies illustrate how all this applies in daytoday business.

In addition to a varied programme with keynote speakers and breakout sessions, there are opportunities for cross-sector networking at the Future Expo. This year's star guest was Casey Neistat, an American YouTube personality, filmmaker and co-founder of the multimedia company Beme, now acquired by CNN.
